Bonchuk Andonov is a sports photographer with more than 45 years of experience and very strong photographic representation at the Olympic Games. Professional with a real talent for photography, Bonchuk Andonov is the most famous Bulgarian sports photographer, and his son is boldly and confidently following his footsteps.
Bonchuk Andonov was born on 15.08.1948 in Pastra, the last village on the road to Rila Monastery. He graduated from the School of Photography in Sofia and in the period 1975 - 1996 worked for the sports illustrated weekly newspaper "Start" and in the period 1996-1998 in "Start photo press" Ltd. Thanks to his zeal to work, today he is the most prepared and successful sports photographer in Bulgaria.
Bonchuk Andonov was official photographer at many major sporting events, including the Football World Cup "USA-94", many world and European championships in wrestling, three consecutive Olympic games, etc. He was a photo reporter at "Fox Catcher Club" before the seven-time world champion Valentin Yordanov become an Olympic champion, at "Atlanta 96" and he visited the star football player Hristo Stoichkov while playing in Barcelona. Among his favorite sports are football and wrestling.
